SSWAAZ Annual Awards
Each year, the School Social Work Association of Arizona recognizes the outstanding contributions of School Social Workers and Educators through the annual SSWAAZ awards. Awards are given for School Social Worker of the Year, Lifetime Achievement in School Social Work, and Public Educator of the Year. Honorees will be presented at the Award Breakfast during the SSWAAZ Annual Conference February 27th, 2025. To nominate someone for a 2025 SSWAAZ Award, please complete the application below by January 15, 2025.
MENTAL HEALTH CHAMPION AWARDS
This Year SSWAAZ is partnering with the Arizona Department of Education Project AWARE team to recognize Arizona’s Mental Health Champions. These School Sites and Districts are proactively addressing student mental health by providing comprehensive supports for students that address mental wellness including prevention, early intervention, and partnerships with community behavioral health providers. Arizona Mental Health Champions will be recognized at the Award Breakfast at the 2025 Annual Conference.
