During this time of uncertainty, we wanted to provide you with information and resources on what you need to know re: COVID-19 and school closures. As of yesterday, Governor Ducey sent out information on school closures and what to expect. As you may be aware, school closures have extended until April 10th. - Children under the age of 18 will be provided meals (visit azed.gov for a list of meal sites).
- Governor Ducey’s office is teaming up with other community partners and non-profits to make childcare available for those who need it.
- Legislators have passed legislation to waive requirements related to educational assessments and ensure that teacher and staff pay continues.
- The governor’s office continues to work with education leaders (local, state, and federal level) to provided guidance to schools re: high school graduation.
